- Instrument chassis wiring
- Cable harness assembly

- Surface-mount component assembly and soldering
- Through-hole component assembly and soldering
- Ability to follow wiring diagrams
- Good verbal communication

Electronic Technician |
|
|
|
|
Responsibilities: |
|
- Product testing and calibration
- Product servicing
- Field service as required
- Some electronic/electrical/mechanical assembly
- Other duties as required
|
Required Skills: |
|
- Knowledge of electronic components, analog and digital circuitry
- Knowledge on use of test and measurement instrumentation (ex. oscilloscopes, DVM's, etc.
- Ability to understand schematics and related engineering documents
- SMT and through-hole soldering skills
- Good verbal and written communication
|
Qualifications: |
|
- Graduate of 2-3 year Electronic Technician program from recognized college
|
|
|
|
Electronic Technologist |
|
|
|
|
Responsibilities: |
|
- Assist senior engineering staff
- Liaise with material suppliers
- Customer product support
- Schematic entry and pcb layout
- Some electronic/electrical/mechanical assembly
- Field service as required
- Other duties as required

Required Skills: |
|
- Knowledge of analog and digital components
- Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry
- Embedded software (assembler/C/C++) development an asset
- Familiar with CAE and CAD software tools
- Surface-mount component soldering
- Through-hole component soldering
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
|
Qualifications: |
|
- Graduate of 3-4 year Electronic Technologist program from recognized university/college
|
