PMT20020 CT/PT Transformer Measurement System

PMT20020 Series CT/PT Measurement Systems
The PMT20020 series of CT/PT Instrument Transformer Test Systems are self-contained, turnkey systems designed to measure the
accuracy of instrumentation current and potential transformers. The measurement systems can also be configured for CT testing
only or PT testing only.
The transformer test system is based upon a semi-automatic design which improves both productivity and adherence to quality
procedures through the execution of pre-programmed test sctipts. An operator simply identifies the transformer to be tested
which will load a default test script containing load and burden test points.
The measurement systems are rated to test instrument current transformers with both 5 ampere and 1 ampere secondaries and up
to 6000 ampere primaries. The system will also test potential transformers with primary ratings up to 36KV and secondary ratings spanning 57
to 120 volts.
The measurement equipment is comprised of an amplifier based Current and Voltage source, a multi-ratio, two stage Reference
Current Transformer, an automatic CT demagnetizer, a precision capacitor based, multi-ratio Reference Potential Divider, an
auto-ranging and auto-balancing Instrument Transformer Comparator and a set of switchable CT and PT Burdens.
An integral host computer provides a direct, intuitive operator interface based upon the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system.
The 'CT/PT Assist' application provides a virtual instrument operator interface to display the various measurements, effect
system control functions, storage of test records, printing of test reports and connection to a local area network as
required.
--- Measurement System Features ---
- Typical accuracy class of 0.005, maximum 0.01 accuracy class for current transformer testing.
